Journalists covering a demonstration in Moscow by wives of Russian soldiers were arrested by Putin's police.

Some 20 journalists were detained by police in central Moscow on Saturday at a rally of Russian soldiers' wives calling for their men to be returned from the front in Ukraine. Independent Russian news outlet SOTA reported that 27 people were taken from the demonstration and transported to the nearest police station. Reuters news agency said one of its journalists was among those detained while filming women laying red carnations at the tomb of the unknown soldier in the shadow of the Kremlin's walls in central Moscow. Moscow police did not comment on the raid. "Journalists should be free to report the news without fear of harassment or harm, wherever they are. We are committed to covering world events in an independent, unbiased, and reliable way, in keeping with the Thomson Reuters Trust Principles," a Reuters spokesperson said in a statement. The demonstration was organized by a group called The Way Home, which urged "wives, mothers, sisters and children" of reservists from across Russia to come to Moscow to "demonstrate (their) unity." The Moscow prosecutor's office said Saturday that the rally had not been coordinated with the authorities. Authorities warned against calling for and participating in unauthorized demonstrations. For several weeks, wives of currently mobilized Russian men have been campaigning for their husbands' return from the front, as well as opposing further mobilization. 

In Russia, an "unauthorized demonstration" is one which does not support Putin and his fascist policies.

Speaking of fascists, Tucker Carlson is apparently in Moscow.

The reported appearance of former Fox News host Tucker Carlson in the Russian capital has sparked intense speculation over the purpose of the conservative media personality's visit to Moscow. Carlson arrived in Moscow on February 1, and was spotted attending the Bolshoi Theater in the capital, according to Russian outlet, Mash. Questions quickly swirled over why the TV anchor would have traveled to Moscow, and whether he intended to interview Russian President Vladimir Putin during the visit.

A Tucker interview with dictator Vladimir Putin would probably be as incisive as his interview with Trump. 😝 Perhaps Putin will let him see the famous Trump pee tapes.

Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll decide to defect while in Russia. His views are much more in tune with a totalitarian state than with the United States.

One man's immortal bravery in the face of homicidal totalitarianism. This is 'Tank Man', the unnamed Chinese man who stood in front of government tanks after the Chinese government massacred its own citizens in Tiananmen Square between June 3 and June 4, 1989.

As a result of his stand, the tanks responsible for wholesale slaughter were unable to pass.

Nobody knows what became of 'Tank Man'. Nor do we know the true number of Chinese slaughtered by their government for demanding civil and political reform. With a zeal that outstrips Orwellianism, the Chinese Communist Party has banned all mention of the death toll, the massacre, and attempts to commemorate the dead.

Thanks to the freedom of Western nations, a gift that must never be abandoned, we can see the true face of evil that Communist China represents.

Some events of necessity would have to be rearranged

Even though a truth may become estranged

They sent me a copy of the revised edition to review

Showing how the narrative had been changed to protect you

Of the people who queued to leave their foreign homes

For a free passage on the tall sailing ships

To seek out a new life in a paradise overseas

Employment and a new home were provided to please

How the kindly plantation owners showed how they cared

For those who had fled horror and how their lives were spared

The wealth and riches of the new land could then be shared

A proper version was written of the nation’s history

The rainbow pictures painted of equality

Now the books are so much better don’t you see

Our children need to be told the truth I’m sure you agree

You might find this a more comforting version of their reality

There are still some books that await to be rewritten

The one where a girl loved a girl and was smitten

The book where a boy played with a doll was clearly wrong

I heard the governor kicked up a dance and song

His disciples nodded and followed like sheep quietly along

Those books had to be altered so they would belong

In a society that had to be carefully constructed

To match the dream that was being structured

The girl now dressed for the boys at night

The boy found an automatic rifle to his delight

They married and had children of course all were white

The young girl could now go to school

Unaware that she had become the fool

For the books now defined her new position

So clearly as being one of total submission

The United Kingdom is debilitating. By every metric, the country is losing its economic prestige, its people are becoming poorer and infrastructure dilapidated.

And while the British people are rightfully angry at their political leadership responsible for the state of their country, few are aware of another, much deeper problem with their government. That the UK elites are transforming the nation into a totalitarian state. British politicians consistently ignore the needs of the people, and hyperfocus on giving themselves more authority and more power. They are submitting every person living in the UK to a total surveillance state far greater than any other democracy in the world, rivaling even the most authoritarian regimes like China or Russia.

A lot of fellow YouTube channels have covered the disastrous downfall of the UK economy. And I want to contribute to that pipeline of doom but with a spin of my own because I see a different kind of decline. A decline in personal liberty, civil rights and human dignity in favor of absolute centralization of political power within the UK’s establishment.

This story begins with a secret order issued sometime in January 2025 when the UK government sent a request to Apple to build an open back door access to all encrypted content of any Apple user anywhere in the world. In that request, Apple must give the UK government the ability to bypass Advanced Data Protection feature, which allows Apple users to use end-to-end encryption for their iCloud backups.

With this secret order, the UK government will be allowed to read encrypted content of any Apple user – including citizens and residents of other countries anywhere in the world. It doesn’t matter if Apple is based in the UK or not. By law, any company with a market presence in the UK, can be forced by the government to hack their own users.

For once a natural disaster didn’t have a woman’s name. It was not that bad. I saw a tree fell on a parked car. I thought the worst thing, before I had to walk through a park in Neukölln in the dark.

I had to walk all 4 kilometers to Hermannplatz, because the trains were not running. Nothing was running. And nobody. My navigation was running me through a huge park. Through a post-apocalyptic Berlin. Walking on an allee surrounded by fence, every face appearing towards me could be a maniac. The only face that appeared was a guy in tattoos. That. And he was not a maniac. He smiled and walked by.

The first time I didn’t trust the city was when my bike got stolen. I thought the worst thing, before 2024. Protests against AFD started. AFD - alternative für Deutschland. Better they were calling DFD - Deutschland für Deutsche. Far rights. Chances are they win the elections, and then gay Italiens like me or whatever we are, have no chance in this country.

Joi says that’s leftist’s fault, that afd is picking back up. That leftists have no strategy. Why would they have one. If they had one they would be in power. But they don’t want power.
